A nice walk through Romagna between Bertinoro and Cesena

The Italian Touring Club – Romagna Territory Club – is organizing an excursion between Bertinoro and Cesena, along the ancient foothill route.

Program:

  • 9:30 AM Meeting at the parking lot in front of Capocolle Church, Via Bologna 60, Bertinoro – GPS coordinates 44.1644152 12.1762775.
  • 10:00 AM Start of the excursion; participants will walk a section of the “Pedemontana Trail” in the Capocolle area, between the municipalities of Bertinoro and Cesena.
  • 1:00 PM Lunch break at the Capocolle parish, where “Cesarina” Sabrina will offer the following menu:
    Stuffed focaccia samples, autumn lasagna, eggs in purgatory, sweet salami with warm cream, water, wine, and coffee.
    If you have any dietary requirements, please inform us upon registration.
    (Le Cesarine is a national association of amateur cooks, the oldest network of home chefs in Italy.)

After lunch, there will be a meeting where member Anna Fabbri will introduce Bertinoro area, and member Patrizia Tamburini, along with Giulia Cataldi, will present a video on the Pedemontana. This will be followed by a discussion with participants.

The route is very easy, about 5 km long, and will take approximately 3 hours, with several stops along the way. However, it is recommended to wear suitable shoes for light trekking (no smooth soles or city shoes).
