Ironman! The most extreme American triathlon circuit returns to Bertinoro.
The unique event in Italy that attracts athletes from all over the world. Two dedicated days, on September 21st and 22nd, with Ironman Italy Emilia-Romagna and Ironman 70.3 Italy Emilia-Romagna.
Saturday, September 21st, the Italian leg of the “long-distance” triathlon will return to Cervia, featuring a combination of three disciplines: swimming with a 3.8 km start from Cervia, 180 km of cycling that will pass through history and nature, crossing the Natural Reserve of the Salina di Cervia and reaching, through its famous vineyards, the Village of Bertinoro, the Balcony of Romagna; while the finish line for the 42.2 km run will be at Bagno Fantini 182 in Cervia.
Sunday, September 22nd, it will be the turn of the 70.3 and 5150, two IRONMAN races in every respect, but over less grueling distances.
IRONMAN 70.3 takes its name from the total number of miles covered in the three disciplines: 1.2 miles swimming, 56 miles cycling, and 13.1 miles running (or 21.1 km, a half marathon), for a total of 113 kilometers. In fact, half the distance of the main event.
IRONMAN 5150, the shortest of the three races in the IRONMAN circuit, takes its name from the total kilometers of the three disciplines. After the first one and a half kilometers of swimming, there are 40 kilometers of cycling and 10 kilometers of running, for a total of 51.50 kilometers, equivalent to the Olympic triathlon distance.
Let’s all support the athletes as they tackle the climb of the City of Hospitality and Wine to make them feel the warmth of Romagna!
