Hospitality in Bertinoro is at the center of its community life, a deeply rooted attitude as it is witnessed by the Ring Column situated right in the heart of the town. Built around the 13th century, it has 12 rings, looking all the same, each one belonged to the local families who were ready to host anyone who would reach the town and tie its horse to it.

Every year, on the first weekend in september, this rite is repeated as the most important part of a major four days commemoration , when the entire community gathers in the fascinating medieval town center.

Besides the rite, you can take part toa lot of activities: concerts, shows, food stands, ethnic markets... which make this long weekend an event not to be missed.
